An ambitious project trying to get the works of the most important German Writers/Poets onto the Web. Currently there are around 350 of them up. It's only in german though but I am trying to find a similar page in English.

A great site for Poets and people who like reading them. The Poetry Free For All board hosts some great poets and is a good way to learn alot about poetry.

Online Role Playing Games

An MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) created by Turbine Software and published by Microsoft. It's currently the youngest of the "Big Three" MMORPGs on the market (Asherons Call, Everquest and Ultima Online) with around 50.000 customers on several servers.

This is currently the most successfull MMORPG on the market with around 250.000 customers on dozens of server, created by Verant and published by Sony America.

The oldest of the "Big Three" was the first MMORPG ever created. Furthermore it's the only one that does not try to be a "better MUD" (MUD = Multi User Dungeon) but tried to do a real virtual world with as much depth as possible (it's not a lot compared to the real world, but the game features a lot of trading skills, player owned (and built) houses and much more). It was created by Origin Systems Interactive and published by Electronic Arts. Currently there are around 150.000 customers on several servers.

This is the first MMORPG in a Science Fiction setting and has recently tried to join the ranks of the "Big Three". Created and produced by Funcom (Norway), this is also the first "big" MMORPG produced in Europe.

MUDs or Multi User Dungeons have been around as long as Role Playing Games (that is over 20 years). This games Text-only Roleplaying Games played online. Although some people may thing them outdated, there are a lot of them around and more still coming. The Link takes you to the Mud Connector, a good site with listings of most available MUDs.

Since Humans tend to form social groups, "Guilds" or "Clans" have become a common factor in MMORPGs or MUDs. The Order of Stormseekers is the one I am in.

"Deutscher Rollenspiel Index" (German Roleplaying Index). This probably the best Search Engine for Roleplaying Games in the Web, featuring a huge database and other neat stuff. If you are looking for Info regarding a certain RPG or just general stuff, you will surely find it here.
