Since the company’s first performance VFB has grown and prospered. Engaging talented international dancers from all corners of the globe, this dynamic company continue to delight audiences throughout Europe with their dazzling but “faithful to tradition” productions. One of the main aims of VFB is to bring classical ballet to the public nationwide, at affordable prices, hereby developing and encouraging new audiences to appreciate and understand the popularity of this art form. The company tour 8 months a year, presenting approximately 200 performances mainly in the UK. Tours abroad have included Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Ireland and France. Future tours are being planned for Spain and the Far East. The repertoire consists of full length traditional classics, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Giselle, Coppelia, Cinderella, and La Sylphide. New works commissioned by talented young choreographers are also presented including Rhapsody in Blue, Othello, Bolero, and American in Paris. The company’s hard working wardrobe and technical staff, succeed annually to produce and refurbish productions with designs which project colour and vitality to enhance the craft of the dancers, the choreographer and the composer.Latest newsContact us
